PENTAX quality and clarity are within reach, at a price that’s within reach, too. These compact porro-prism models feature a dual-axis, single body design with synchronized eyepiece adjustment. Aspherical lens elements give you edge-to-edge sharpness. Clear images and clearly affordable.

Product Features

  • Fully-multi-coated optics assure maximum light transmission resulting in high quality viewing. Every surface of every element is fully coated minimizing internal glare and flare and giving a bright clear view.
  • Unique Uni-body design enhances durability by locking objective lenses in a single housing and synchronizing the eyepiece movement. This minimizes moving parts and assures these binoculars will function properly and clearly for years to come.
  • Aspherical lens elements, which are critical in compact binoculars, provide exceptional edge-to-edge sharpness. This assures that items on the edge of your field of view are just as sharp as those in the center.
  • The UP models are offered in unique, attractive color options that match your personal style.

Superb compact travel binoculars If you are looking for a compact / lightweight set of binos for use wildlife viewing, bird watching, hiking, tourism, travel etc. these are for you. I wanted to replace my 15 year old Nikon travelite binos and now prefer the Pentax ( primarily because the Nikon had a roll-up eye piece). The image is very sharp. These are also waterproof and a bargain at under $100. I suggest spending the extra $10-15 for the WP feature.Pentax makes similar models with higher magnification, 10×25 & higher, however they have a narrower field of view and are harder to hold your image steady, so I’m sticking with the 8×25. I also own a couple pair of Nikon Monarch series binos 10×25, just wonderful binos, but they are more expensive, worth it, and I use them primarly for hunting and target shooting. Definitely head and shoulders above the less expensive no-name binoculars at a big box store.
