Laser Range Finder Recently I purchased the Steiner Military 10×50 LRF as a possible replacement for the laser that I now own or previous LRF’s. I enjoy going out to N. Dak. or S. Dak to shoot prairie dogs. I like to shoot at long distance. I have used Bushnell, Leica or Leupold LRF’s. The problem with these products is that they are really useless beyond 700+ yards. So it is just a guess as to how far it is to a target. I friend that I shoot with has a high buck Leica LRF that he purchased for over $3000.00. This Leica is rated out to 1200 yards. It also has problems over 700+ yards. This last year I purchased a newer version Leica LRF for over $2,000.00. It also was rated at 1200 yards. It was a disappointment. I returned it to the seller for a refund. I learned of the Steiner LRF binocular while going through my American Rifleman. I went online to their web sight and read about this item.
