Amazing Clarity and Detail and Very Light My wife and I took a walk and she wore these using the strap the day we received them. We walked over a mile in rugged terrain and they never bothered her. We couldn’t believe how light these are, and yet, with great optical qualities. We went to the top of a hill and with the Safari UltraSharps, we were able to see buildings, colors and details that we knew were over a mile away. Amazing! These will be perfect for baseball games (during the boring parts) and just for walking. We walk a 150 acre farm with turkeys, coyotes, foxes, and all other wild life, and these binoculars will help us bird watching and simply being able to see things exceptionally well. The thing I don’t understand is the price for these. I’ve seen them for all the way up to about $250 and for as little as about $125. How could such a variation exist? Is it because they are German made and there is a high tariff/duty on them?

Sturdy and small with excellent optics. These binoculars are very well made and compact. They are water-proofed and nitrogen filled and comfortable to hold. They are perfect for hiking when you want to keep the weight of your gear to a minimum. The optical performance is excellent for such a small pair. I’d say that during daylight (their intended use) they are as good as a number of my Astronomy binoculars (binoculars for astronomy are the most optically demanding binoculars you can buy). These come with a nice case and a cleaning cloth. I’m looking forward to using these more.

Awesome quality and clarity The most awesome quality and clarity for such a small binocular. I used the bigger Steiner binoculars in the army and yes this is just as good. I plan to get a 10×50 or 10×42 as well for some serious hiking (once I can afford to buy one).
