About Swarovski Optik
Although founded in 1949, Swarovski Optik’s roots actually trace all the way back to 1895, when Austrian Daniel Swarovski–who invented the world’s first electric grinding machine for jewelry stones–established the family-owned Swarovski Crystal in the province of Tyrol. Since then, the name Swarovski has become synonymous worldwide with the clearest crystal, precision grinding, and a brilliant spirit of innovation, as the original enterprise continued branching out into additional lines of business.

Swarovski Optik owes its rise to Wilhelm Swarovski, son of the original founder and an avid hobby astronomer, who decided to build his own improved binocular in 1935 at a mere 17 years of age. With access to the specialized glass production and finishing technologies already used to manufacture jewelry stones in his father’s factory, Wilhelm managed to develop a novel prism fabrication and grinding process that he applied in constructing his first 6×30 binocular. Wilhelm went on to found Swarovski Optik KG in Absam, Tyrol, in 1949, thus laying the foundation for a sports optics company with a global reputation. His company’s first serial product, the Habicht 7×42, is still an industry standard in the field of hunting optics and continues to be produced in the best tradition of its founder.

MAKES BIRD WATCHING MORE ENJOYABLE! This is actually the second one I have ordered through Amazon. I purchased the first one approximately 3 years ago and it made such a difference while using with my binoculars and bird watching. I have actually worn this harness with my binoculars for up to 4 hours without fatigue or any neck pain from the typical neck strap. I have also been able to perform some moderate climbing while using the harness without interference from the binoculars getting tangled in my other equipment. This harness distributes the weight across the upper and mid back. I purchased this second harness for my boss as a gift when I heard him complain about increased neck pain after wearing his binoculars with neck strap. He has expressed a more enjoyable experience while wearing his harness and I think I may be in line for a salary increase!

Swarovski harness Works as advertised, it definitely is what it is. Good quality, absolutely no complaints. If this is something you are looking for, don’t hesitate.

adequate The Swarovski binocular suspenders are more expensive than the othersw on Amazon. Because Swarovsky makes such high grade optical products, I thought there would be carry-over to this product. WRONG. They are not particularly comfortable, and the bands are thin. Buy another of the Amazon listed products.
